Entrance: Mechanic Street
Length: 4.5 miles
Terrain: 10-foot wide paved path. Paved parts are from Mechanic Street, Amenia, to Coleman Station Town of North East.
Description: Part of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail system.
Directions: From New York City (approximately 80 miles, 1 hour and 45 minutes): Take Saw Mill Parkway (from Manhattan) or the Hutchinson River Parkway (from Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn) north to interstate 684. Take 684 north to Brewster where 684 becomes Route 22. Continue north on Route 22 and when you reach the traffic light in Amenia make a right onto Route 343. Make your first right (across from Cumberland Farms) on to Mechanic Street. The trail head is on the left.
