Length: 4.0 miles

Terrain: Paved and open could be a 0.4 mile stretch as a detour on to a scenic dirt road.
Description: Part of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail system.
Directions: Undermountain Road, Ancram, to Taconic State Park Entrance , Copake Falls. From the parking lot at Undermountain Road, the trail is paved for 2.9 miles going north. Then the trail detours on to a scenic dirt road for 0.4 miles. This detour occurs because a landowner refused to sell her stretch of rail bed to be converted to rail trail. The dirt road leads to a paved continuation of the trail that proceeds all the way to Route 344 and the entrance to Taconic State Park. The spectacular Bash Bish Falls is located one mile east of the park entrance on Route 344, just barely over the state line in Massachus.
