Entrance: 1702 Alki Avenue Southwest, Seattle.
Length: Over 3 miles
Terrain: Smooth asphalt and concrete in some areas.
Description: The longest and smoothest beach path in Seattle, with spectacular views across Elliot bay towards the Olympic Mountains to the west and the Seattle skyline to the east.Be sure to visit the operating lighthouse at Alki Point.
Directions: From I-5 north- or southbound (exits 163/163A), or from Highway 99 (Aurora Avenue), take the West Seattle Bridge to West Seattle. Exit at Harbor Avenue/Avalon Way, and turn right onto Harbor Avenue SW. Bear left on Alki Avenue SW - the Alki Beach Park and Bathhouse Art Studio are on the right after roughly two miles, in the business district. Parking: Ample parking along Alki Avenue SW. Look for parking starting at Bonair Street. Public transportation: Served by Metro routes 37 and 56, and by the free Water Taxi shuttle.
